Most repairs that fail were applied correctly. They failed because they treated the symptom.
A coating applied over a slab that is still releasing moisture will blister, regardless of how well it was laid. Epoxy injected into a crack that is wet and still moving will not bond. A concrete patch placed where chlorides remain in the surrounding concrete will spall again at its edges within a few seasons.
Finding a way where others say no starts with knowing what is actually wrong. Everything below follows from that.
From project assessment and planning to execution, verification and handover, we bring a structured approach to every waterproofing, repair and rehabilitation project.
We begin by understanding the structure, its condition, the project requirements and the environment in which the work will be carried out.
Where the cause of a defect is not evident, we establish it before recommending a treatment. A repair aimed at the wrong cause will fail regardless of how well it is applied.
This allows us to establish the appropriate repair, waterproofing or protection strategy from the outset.
We develop a project-specific methodology covering the sequence of work, materials, equipment, access requirements, quantities and programme. Where work is undertaken on operational assets, planning is coordinated around shutdown windows, permits and site restrictions.
Our teams are mobilised with trained applicators, supervision, equipment and specified materials suited to the project. Logistics, particularly for remote or operational sites, are planned in advance to maintain continuity throughout execution.
We place strong emphasis on substrate preparation. Surfaces are assessed, cleaned and prepared according to the requirements of the specified system, with relevant environmental and site conditions checked before application.
Works are carried out in accordance with the approved methodology and specified system. Application activities are monitored throughout, with relevant information such as material batches, application parameters, thicknesses, injection pressures and material consumption recorded where applicable.
Quality is monitored throughout the project rather than only at completion. Depending on the scope, verification may include thickness measurements, adhesion testing, ponding or flood testing, seepage measurement and other specified inspections.
Following completion and verification, we provide the relevant project records and maintenance recommendations.
Waterproofing projects are supported by applicable warranties in accordance with the agreed project terms.Repair and rehabilitation works do not carry a warranty unless specifically agreed under the contract.
